Chinese Sky Lanterns Causing UFO Sightings

A few weeks ago, a video was posted to YouTube with what appeared to be well over a dozen glowing orbs floating through the sky over Wheatridge, Colorado. Actually, YouTube has hundreds of similar videos from all over the world and many of them are titled or labeled as UFO videos. Armadeaun featured the Wheatridge “UFO” video, asking visitors what they thought it could be. Several readers have responded with an explanation of Chinese sky lanterns. I’ve dug further to research this as a possibility, comparing other videos & photos of the sky lanterns and believe this is the most plausible explanation....

Planet X, Nibiru or Nada?

The internet is a buzz with all sorts of information and speculation about a supposed, distant object at the far reaches of our own solar system. Many have coined the name “Planet X” for what they believe to be headed on a collision course with Earth. However, the [wiki]Planet X[/wiki] term has been used for over 100 years for a couple of different objects at the edge of our solar system – none of which are on any kind of trajectory for our own planet. Asteroid Threat To Earth Less Than Previously Thought – Or Is It?

According to the latest scientific study, supposedly “the most accurate survey ever”, Earth may be in less danger of a cataclysmic asteroid impact than previously thought. The good news is that NASA claims to have now found about 90% of the largest near Earth asteroids. Before this last study, scientists estimated that there were around 35,000 near-Earth asteroids between 330-3,300 feet wide. They now believe that number to be more like 19,500. Not sure how much more you’re comforted by this news – as the famous crater (formerly the Canyon Diablo Crater) in Arizona was caused by a meteor...

Jerusalem UFO Likely a Hoax

A UFO video shot in Jerusalem back in January, depicting a purported UFO that hovers over the [wiki]Dome of the Rock[/wiki], is likely a hoax, according to an Israeli Channel 10 investigator. While there are some interesting questions raised by the news investigator, it’s hard to really tell whether or not they can make the case to prove this video is a hoax. There also exist video clips from other parts of the city at the same time, showing what appears to be the same object over The Dome of the Rock. Watch the video below & share what...

HTV-2 Flying This Week

The Defense Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is set to test its super-fast, unmanned aircraft this Thursday. Called the Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 (HTV-2), it’s capable of speeds up to 13,000 miles per hour – fast enough to get from Los Angeles to New York in less than 12 minutes. The test will begin with a launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The aircraft will climb to an undisclosed altitude and reach speeds of around Mach 20 before landing in the Pacific Ocean, near the  Kwajalein Atoll. The 4,100 mile trip will take less than 30 minutes, if successful....
